CDU selection: a project enquiry checklist

Start with a project brief: destination, equipment platform, quantity, heat load and target delivery date. Share the server or rack cooling requirements and identify the team responsible for system integration.

Describe the load-side and facility-side circuits separately: coolant specification, supply and return temperatures, flow, available pressure and connection drawings. Mark missing information as to be confirmed rather than filling it with assumptions.

Use the table below to identify candidates, then request a model-specific quotation and drawing. The available pump quantity is 1–2; confirm the redundancy arrangement separately. For CDU300, also resolve whether the dimensions describe a single cabinet or the full assembly.

Before an order, agree the supply boundary: CDU, pipework, connectors, controls, testing, packing, installation and commissioning. Record which party provides local maintenance and spare parts. Platform compatibility and any required certificates must be supported by model-specific documents.
